The Africa’s Big 7 Hosted Buyer Programme selects pre-qualified decision makers to attend Africa’s Big 7 based on their interest in sourcing from  suppliers from around the world, across the food & beverage value chain and based on certain pre-qualifying criteria.

Join us to meet over 300 top-tier food and beverage suppliers from over 40 countries through networking sessions and pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings. We have designed the Africa’s Big 7 Hosted Buyer Programme to assist you in sourcing the best products at the most competitive price, while having the opportunity to network with thousands of industry peers and to learn from industry experts at our free-to-attend workshops.

If you are responsible for purchasing hospitality products or services, you may be eligible. We consider your decision-making authority, budget, and how well your needs match our exhibitors.

We assess applicants based on the following criteria:

  • Decision making authority: You are a senior professional with decision-making authority in your business.
  • Track record of sourcing through importing: You have a dedicated budget to source new products through importation.
  • Availability to travel to South Africa:
    • Must be available to travel to Johannesburg between 10 – 14 June 2024.
    • Ready and willing to engage in pre-scheduled meetings during the exhibition.

Hosted Buyer programme process

Step 1

Buyers can apply for the programme through an online form, which will be reviewed by the Hosted Buyer team and accepted or rejected based on a set of criteria including decision-making authority, budget and relevance to the exhibitors participating

Step 2

Successful buyers will be required to register and agree to terms of the Hosted Buyer Programme.

Step 3

Buyers will be required to confirm 10 meetings with exhibitors.

What happens if I'm not selected as a Hosted Buyer?

You can still attend the Expo and visit exhibitor booths! General registration information is available on the event website.
