A top South African company will be at Africa’s Big 7, promising to help local brands expand internationally.

Indian Ocean Export Company (IOEC) was setup in 1972 and is specialised in export services. The company says it creates global presence for local brands: “Our business development managers take brands to market and play an active role in ensuring their success internationally.”

It ships its range of products by sea, air and road. Now it supplies consumer goods, commodities, and building materials to more than 40 countries around the world.

The company has owned and operated international satellite offices, cold stores, wholesale and retail outlets, Coca Cola bottling plants, a biscuit factory and distribution companies.

It maintains the core values instilled by its founders while pursuing excellence in the rapidly changing context of modern global economies.

IOEC says: “We pride ourselves in our knowledge of our markets and South African products, as well as our ability to handle all aspects of the logistics of export.”
